| They were called “Great white chews” supposedly they were from Thresher Sharks- they took the cartilage from them. I don’t see that they sell these anymore… The shark wasn't used in any food.

| Has anyone tried buffalo canine caviar or is it too high in fat and protein? Mine has done really well on venison but looking to try a different protein. I was thinking duck but she's allergic to chicken. I may be crazy but makes me scared to try duck lol. So maybe buffalo. But she does wonderful on venison. She's just been on it for nine months. She has food allergies and ibd and is doing great because of canine caviar. |

![]() Mine all did well on the individual foods by itself, so I just thought I'd mashup the honest kitchen & weruva. When I say well, their poopies are nicely formed & not soft at all. I don't think they should only have ONE food, I want my guys to eat a variety of different foods so they can get vital nutrients from them. Mine have been eating grain free kibble ever since they were pups for both meals & 2 of them had struvite crystals. The most important factor was to liquefy the diet. So I had to incorporate canned food for 1 meal (since canned food is higher in fat & protein) & I moisten the kibble w/hot water for the other. Momo just had his re-check & he's struvite crystal free. ![]() I've also tried premade raw, frozen & freeze dried. Mimi & Turbo did well on it, but Momo & Princess couldn't handle the higher fat content. Their poopie was soft. So it really comes down to how your individual dog does on the food. Pincess had colitis b4, so she needs to be on a strict low fat, high fiber diet. That's why I chose honest kitchen. I really wanted to avoid potatoes bc she's also yeasty (had skin cytology done to confirm this), but I figured THK uses organic human grade ingredients & sweet potato was better than potato loll. That's why I LOVE CC, no potatoes!
