| ears...cleaning...infection? What do you use to clean your babies' ears?? How often do you clean? Rosie has god awful ears to keep clean. They get to the point I can only explain it as full of gunk. I've tried a few different types, it gets better and then it comes back. im now worried maybe its a yeast infection/allergies...don't think its mites but whatever...we are headed to the vet tomorrow to make sure she doesn't have something that needs meds. Do any of you just have pups w ears that are just difficult to keep clean?

| Please let us know what the vet says. I think certain pups have "tendancies" towards ear infections/yeast. Do you pluck the hairs in her ears? Just curious. I've never had a problem with Mandie's ears, but I am always watching and jumping at any itch towards her ears because I do keep her ear hair long and I don't pluck her hairs. Sorry I'm no help..just wanted to see how you do Rosie's ears and offer a prayer that the vet helps her feel all better!

| I use epi-otic on Callie. I would have the vet check it out though.

| Ruby's ears are "perfect" - granted she is 17 months old vs. Rosie who was born in 07. But it takes nothing to clean hers and no plucking. I do pluck Rosie's, although hers never gets as bad as the poodle I had growing up. I pluck them (and not often) just because I worry its trapping moisture in there, thinking that's what's causing her gross ears. Literally they get covered with dark brown wax. I've used mite medicine on it thinking at first that was the issue but it did nothing for it. It'll disappear for a few months and then come back....im worried it hurts her or will hurt her hearing so I've had enough...we go in at 130 tomorrow.

| I use ZYmox for any chonic type ear stuff. And coconut oil on days I pluck hair. I did buy some new stuff but I haven't tried any of it yet. I'll let you know if any of it works well. Some ears are more productive than others. I've had 2 cats with horrible junk in theirs, the Zymox really helps to slow the production and keep the ears healthy.

| So...Ms. Rosie has a yeast infection in one ear and a bacterial infection in the other...treating them for ten days and then watch...vet said to clean about once every two weeks if she seems to still have gunky ears bring in for another check. Poor little pumpkin!!

| I use water (4)/ vinegar(1) mix wipe with cotton ball. Same thing I used on my daughter who had chronic ear infection. Kills both yeast and bacteria. |
