| How much does your TEAPOT yorkie eat?? Trying to figure out how much I should be feeding my new puppy! The breeder was free feeding which is not an option for me. He is not begging for more and seems happy with the program for now, but curious what others were doing. I feed my 14 week old 6 pound yorkie 1/4 cup Royal Canin mini starter formula twice a day. |

| Why can't you free feed that is what is best for puppy's. You could try this but sense puppies are growing and need more I would go with active or high active Dog Food Calculator

| I'd go with the minimum amount suggested on the bag for pup's weight split into at least 3 meals a day. Then change amount based on ody condition. Pups will almost never be overweight.

| I have adults that weigh approx 8 lbs. They get 1/8 cup in the morning, 1/4 cup about 4 pm, and 1/8 cup again about 8 pm. Of course, you want to make sure that the puppy is getting what he needs, we used Royal Canin when they we little and tried to keep close to the recommended amount. But I also think 3 times a day may be a good option.

| Huey is 7.5 lbs and gets 1/4cup 2xday but it is kind of free feeding, I guess. I put it out and leave it. If he eats it, he gets the next 1/4 cup at mealtime. If he doesn't eat it, it just stays until he does.
