Finally...I got to order Canine Caviar! I've had a hard time finding the Canine Caviar dog food...did the store locator on their website and every store I called said they couldn't order it anymore. The one who said she could failed to come through...after talking with her before Christmas she said it wouldn't be there until the first week of January...first she was sick and missed her shipment, the next week everything else she ordered came in but my CC wasn't on the truck...one excuse after another...so I told her thanks but let's just forget it. I started looking online and came across chewy.com so I just ordered from there and this Tuesday I should recieve via Fed Ex...a 12 pound bag of the Wilderness grain free blend and a case of the Venison canned food. I checked the price of the food they currently eat and compared it to what I pay now and chewy.com is about $6.00 a case cheaper and shipping would be free. Hmmm...no more driving the 70 mile trip in all kinds of weather for dog food and it's cheaper...well, gee...that's a no brainer! So, if this goes well I will be ordering online from now on...whether the CC works or I go back to what they eat now...either way it will be easier and I won't have to worry about not being able to go get their food in bad weather. I've been so excited to try the CC...I can hardly wait for Tuesday...I hope it works for Moo like it has for others here on YT. |
COOL! I am so excited for you!! I have ordered from chewy.com and they are really good! I will have to be ordering soon!! Peanut almost is done with his Open Sky! Yippie!! I hope it works for your furbabies, I really do- it did wonders for Peanut so I think your chances are high!!! |
Buster has been eating CC for 4 days now and I have noticed he is less itchy and not chewing on himself as much.:xfingers: |

YAAAAAAAAAAY!! Well, most of you should know already how I feel about Canine Caviar! Best Food Riley has eaten in his almost 3-years of age!! He'll be 3 mid-May. And we have tried a Lot!! He's been eating it since August 2nd. He was still shrieking and doing circles, last night and this morning for it! THAT Makes Me Happy... he was so Picky before!!  :) |
I hope we have great results like you all have...believe me...I really want something to work for Moo! I will keep you all updated as to her progress :) |
My 2 boys are still doing great on it  They love it! About 1/2 way through our first bag of Open Sky Grain Free. I get it at Chewy |

Ok, first time I saw this post...and was so excited to be reading this. Lexi is very very finicky to say the least...she turned 4 in November and has always been on Royal Canin well when and if she eats it...mostly have to cook chicken for her and then that is a chore to get her to eat too she must be eating some as she is about 4 1/2 lbs...lol I would love to try this food though as Lexi has allergies to and is always licking her feet...so could you please let me know what to order? I am going to give this a try :D |

At one point, I was giving him Wild Ocean for a few days and then the Open Sky for a few days. I honestly believe you can't go wrong with any of them. |

I have also tried the Canned Beaver and the Canned Duck... mixed a teeny bit of it into Riley's Kibble. Of course, he want Nuts for it. The cans are pretty big so I would just divide it into about 4 snack baggies and freezed what I wasn't using. I just wanted to put a teeny tiny bit in his kibble for a little treat. The Wild Ocean is Fish.... The Open Sky is Duck.... The Wilderness is Venison.... Just depends on what you think your furbaby might like best. I started Riley with the Fish. |

Here is a photo. The old Canine Caviar on the top row.... The new Canine Caviar on the bottom row... I like the bigger/flatter better. It was more rounded before. You can still get the older bags that are rounder, because they just recently changed size. |

I'm in DC so I have a store in the city that sells it as well as 2 stores out in Virginia. But the first bag I ordered, I ordered from Dog and Cat Food, Treats, and Supplies | Free Shipping at Chewy.com I don't think you will be able to tell when you order. I think once all the old bags are gone they will all be the bigger size. My first couple of bags were the smaller rounder and my last bag was the flatter. Both sizes are fine actually for a Yorkie. I didn't mind either. I fed Acana before and they were so big and flat I had to cut them into two... I know a couple of other YT member who used to have to cut them too. That was a Pain!! :) I just posted before and after pics. of Riley's tummy on this thread: http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/sic...ml#post4110308 |

Ohhhhh Yeah!! He was having Tummy spots and Ear Issues. Has Had Nothing for the past 5-months. The first photo was pretty bad.... It is sooo Nice to Flip him over and see a Clear Belly... and I'm sure he feels much better to. My Pleasure!! I'm just chillin' for a bit before I hit the Gym and Grocery.... ;) I think you will be pleased!! Definitely Keep Me Posted!! Good Luck!! :) |
The only formula I wouldn't feed is the Buffalo one... really high phosphorus! Otherwise, everyone seems to love it!! I really like the company. Some of their "trying to prevent cancer" claims seem a little far fetched, but overall, seems like a good company. The only reason I haven't fed it is the cost, but I've considered buying another bag to try again. Good luck w/ it!! Chewy is awesome! |

I don't mind the cost one bit. |
I love the food and will keep buying it! The cost to me is not a big deal, Pnut is doing the better than he ever has!! |

To be honest I have never thought twice about the price... But then again I had switched Riley to Royal Canin when I brought him home... I like it so much and Riley is doing so well I wouldn't care how much I had to pay for it. |

Remember when you mentioned that open sky had a weird smell? Before I got the prescription canned food, I was soaking Momo's kibble in water so I can get some more moisture in him & it was so stinky!:p |

I agree- I would pay anything for a food my dog is doing fantastic on! But I was just pointing out that it *is* pricey, thats all :) For MY personal dog, he ate half a bag of it (the duck one) and didn't care for the taste w/o being mixed with wet, and he didn't seem to do any better than foods I pay less for. So for us, I am just not sure the price is worth it. |
