Finally...I got to order Canine Caviar!

I might try the other flavors if the first bag goes over well. According to Megan's allergy test results (which so far haven't been too accurate!) she had a low positive reaction to fish so I have to watch what I feed her even outside of grains. But...her results said she didn't have any problem with chicken and I kept wondering why she was still licking her feet even on an organic chicken diet...well, I changed her food and the foot licking stopped.

Nope... I don't really think it has too much of a smell. They just recently changed their kibble size to be a teeny bit bigger/Flatter.

I like the bigger/flatter better. It was more rounded before.
You can still get the older bags that are rounder, because they just recently changed size.

Your a doll, thanks so much for your post on the sizes...Lexi would definitely like the new ones better on the bottom the new ones...how can I tell when I order? Do you buy your's from chewy.com?

No Problem!!
I'm in DC so I have a store in the city that sells it as well as 2 stores out in Virginia. But the first bag I ordered, I ordered from Dog and Cat Food, Treats, and Supplies | Free Shipping at Chewy.com

I don't think you will be able to tell when you order. I think once all the old bags are gone they will all be the bigger size. My first couple of bags were the smaller rounder and my last bag was the flatter. Both sizes are fine actually for a Yorkie. I didn't mind either.
I fed Acana before and they were so big and flat I had to cut them into two... I know a couple of other YT member who used to have to cut them too. That was a Pain!!

Ohhhhh Yeah!!
He was having Tummy spots and Ear Issues. Has Had Nothing for the past 5-months. The first photo was pretty bad....
It is sooo Nice to Flip him over and see a Clear Belly... and I'm sure he feels much better to.

The only formula I wouldn't feed is the Buffalo one... really high phosphorus! Otherwise, everyone seems to love it!! I really like the company. Some of their "trying to prevent cancer" claims seem a little far fetched, but overall, seems like a good company. The only reason I haven't fed it is the cost, but I've considered buying another bag to try again.

The phosphorus is Higher in the Wild Ocean than in the Buffalo.
I don't mind the cost one bit.

To be honest I have never thought twice about the price...
But then again I had switched Riley to Royal Canin when
I brought him home...

I like it so much and Riley is doing so well I wouldn't care how
much I had to pay for it.

Thanks for that bit of info! I really didn't pay attention to phosphorus or ash, but ever since Momo got struvite crystals, I'm obsessive! Good thing they were having production delays of Buffalo bc I wanted to try that next, we'll go w/venison when they're done w/the duck.
Remember when you mentioned that open sky had a weird smell? Before I got the prescription canned food, I was soaking Momo's kibble in water so I can get some more moisture in him & it was so stinky!

Then I wouldn't feed the Ocean either. High ash makes me nervous for their long term kidney health.

I agree- I would pay anything for a food my dog is doing fantastic on! But I was just pointing out that it *is* pricey, thats all For MY personal dog, he ate half a bag of it (the duck one) and didn't care for the taste w/o being mixed with wet, and he didn't seem to do any better than foods I pay less for. So for us, I am just not sure the price is worth it.
