| Should i do the liver shunt testing? Even wen he has no symptoms? He is 17 weeks and 1.55 pounds-- someone told me if he had a liver shunt, he'd already be dead....? | Keep in mind that bile acids will need to be repeated at 6 mos. for accuracy. Did your vet recommend testing? If so, then yes you should do it. Pricing seems high to me.

| Never hurts for a yorkie. Personally I would before neutering but not quite yet. But that said if money is at all a concern then regular blood panel is all that has to be done. Prices are a bit high. If venipuncture is just the act of takingthe blood that is crazy high. Bile acids is slightly high. CBC, if including chemistry, is ok as long as it includes a ton of stuff. You can have them feed pup and take home for a couple hours to avoid hospitalization fee.
