| Red Bump Under Anus Hey YT Family, I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving. I have a quick question about Julius, and unfortanley his vet is closed today. For the last 2 days Julius has really been bitting a little above his butt on both sides. This is to the point that the hair has became matted. I did notice this about 3 weeks ago and went and had his glands expressed and it got better. This morning after we woke up from a hard night of him being up scratching most of the night I took him out to do his business and that went well. I took a look at him when he walked by and noticed it was red under there. After further examination, there is a red bump (soft to the touch) right under his anus and one exactly to the side of it. Has anyone ever had this situation with their fur babys???? When I touch it he isnt in pain, but it does cause alot of itching. Thank you.

| He needs to go back to the vet again, sounds like he might have an absess in his anal glands and they could rupture. But please have your vet check him out asp. Hope he gets to feeling better soon.

| Poor little guy it could be allergies but not sure I definitely would call the vet tomorrow and see if you can get him in and have it looked at.

Donating YT 30K Club Member | Nikki had something similar to what you are describing and it was an anal abscess. Immediate vet care is needed if Julius has that. Hopefully you can get him in tomorrow. Please keep us posted.

| Sounds like an abscess, could be from not being expressed enough or infection from the expression. It could also be a skin allergy, or parasite. All require a vet evaluation and treatment.
