| Heartworm meds online Where do you get them, if you get them online? I've never ordered from an online site before. My vet gave me a 6 month prescription today. Not sure how to go forward from here or what to do with that prescription. But just wondering what had the cheapest and was most reliable? He takes Heartguard Plus FYI.

| So do you just mail them the prescription the vet gave, or just let them contact your vet?

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | I was thinking about doing this and did a google, I wouldn't be saving anything! My vet charges $72 for 12, and I got a 12 dollar rebate, which lowered the price to $60.00 no tax no shipping. By the way, Heartgard will pay for treatment, if your dog gets heartworms, as long as you have proof of purchase, so save those receipts! Prices quoted below are for 6. Quote:

| I just let them contact my vet, and my vet is a lot higher than getting them online. He is the one who suggested a couple of years ago to order online. We are in a very rural area and he doesn't keep a big stock in product, so his prices are higher than online. I just looked up my order and 6 with shipping is 33.59

| It's the same for me! At most on a year's supply, I'd save a couple of dollars, and I'll gladly pay that to support keeping a quality vet in a small town such as mine.

| I get mine from my vet but if you decided to do that make sure its a reputable place. The vet tech at my vets office said that most places when you buy them from an online place can't back them like the vets office, like say your dog is on interceptor if you got it from the vet they will pay for the treatment of the heart worm and stuff if your dog gets heart worms while taking there product but if you get it from an online place they wont. I do not know if this is true but that is what she said. She also said sometimes the meds sit on a self for a long time at those places.

I also get my cats hyperthyroidism meds from here. My vet can not match their cheap price. I put in the order and check the box for them to contact my vet.
