Donating YT 30K Club Member | ![]() Hope it goes well. When I had to switch Nikki to Hills KD he ate it no problem. My girls thought it was a treat so they would always run to his plate to lick any remnants. I think just making out like it's special helps.

| ![]() He seems to like it! He is picking all the new food out and leaving his old food behind! I don't want to completely switch him over incase it bothers his stomach. |

| ![]() I feed my little furbutt the same. How did you make the treats? I can't give her anything but the l/d, so it's been hard to train without any sort of reward treat. I took Roxi in yesterday for her liver workup...her # was back down to 87 from over 100 WOOHOO!! ![]()

| ![]() I know exactly how you feel.. Cruz used to get a treat every morning before I left for work. It broke my heart when my vet told me I had to toss them. He doesn't even want him to have any veggies or low protien treats this month. He told me "tough love for one month". I was more depressed than Cruz! But then I found the recipe right on hills website. I must warn you though- the smell is awful!! awful!! Buy the canned L/d and cut the slices like your making cookies, I did mine smaller then normal and put them on a cookie sheet in the oven on 350 for 30-35 minutes. The wet food is really really wet. I dumped the container on wax paper first- that helped. It says to also keep the treats in the refrigerator and only for 5-7 days. Do not freeze. If you google " hills prescription homemade dog treats" i bet it comes right up!!! That's awesome her levels went down. We test again 12/12!! He was at 29 & 58 so I'm hoping they lower and we are on the right track!!!!! |

| ![]() Having a little tough time with Getting Cruz to eat. The first couple of days he was picking the new food out but yesterday he seemed bored with it. I tried to even put some in my hand as a treat and he walked away. I added some water but that only helped for one bite. I stopped giving him treats weds morning because I realized he wasn't eating that much. You think he is being stubborn? Or should I talk to vet about getting the royal canine heptic? |
