| Surf and Turf has a fishy smell, but it's not intolerable and my dogs don't have a fishy smell either. I think I'm gonna try the Chicken a la veg next, just to mix it up a bit. |

| Anyone try the Duck & Sweet Potato yet? I was going to order some more Salmon a la Veg from Chewy's and thought I would add this to my order too. I did notice a slight smell of fish with the Salmon a la Veg but nothing too big that I am not getting it again I think the Surf n Turf is much stinkier on the boys faces. Even DH noticed it.

| my dogs did ok on the Surf &Turf but poos were a little soft ,next was the Game Bird and the Beef Fritata , perfect poos... so i will stick with those two... i think the Surf & Turf has too many proteins for them.... |

We have used the Duck and Sweet Potato before. The dogs did pretty well on it and seemed to like it. It was one of our favorite Fromm grain inclusive formulas. We have since switched to Horizon Legacy grain free food though.

| I thought I'd bump this thread. Seems Jackson's eyes have been running more too now. It's not horrendous, but noticeable for sure. We're on our, I think, 4th bag of Fromm now. We did Beef grain-free, Game Bird grain-free, then Chicken a la Veg and now we're on last leg of Duck & Sweet Potato. Since the end of the chicken a la veg bag and into the duck and potato, eyes have been runnier. I am unsure if it's the food or environment or something else. I do have an unopened bag of pork & applesauce that we were going to try next. Everything else has been great. For some reason, Fromm took longer than most foods for him to adjust to, but now his poop has been great every day, lol, and his skin and coat are looking fantastic. Breath is good, bloodwork recently at the vet came back good. He's got a lot of energy, almost too much! He does always seem hungry lately too (like more than normal)... I'm wondering if the grain inclusives are not fulfilling him as much. I am probably over thinking it. But wondering if I should do a test and feed him a different grain-free food maybe and see if the extra eye goop lessens, and he doesn't always seem so hungry.

| Dunno about the eye goobers but IME Yorkies are always hungry...As long as he's maintaining weight should be okay. But trying different food for they eyes may be worth a try. But I think after 4 bags of food the goobers may not be from the food?? Dunno |

And yes, Jackson is a total food hound, in one way he IS always hungry (LOL) he will never turn down a treat. But he's been extra annoyingly hungry, like whiny and stuff, which is unlike him. He's been getting proper amount of exercise. I don't know maybe it's just the winter blues kicking in and he's bored. lol.

| I would try sticking with the grain free foods and see what happens. He may have a reaction to some of the grains or other ingredients in the grain inclusive formulas. Plus, the grain free foods are generally higher in protein and lower in carbs. He might feel more satisfied on the grain free foods. And for what it's worth, my dogs seem to eat more of the Fromm grain inclusive foods than they do the Horizon Legacy. An 8.8 lb bag of Horizon Legacy lasts us about 9 days, and a 15 lb bag of Fromm grain inclusive lasts us about 12-13 days. I free feed so they are eating as much as they want.
