| Raw food diet Anyone here feed their dogs a raw food diet? My 3 all eat raw food. They have all their life. Jilly is 11, Jack is 8 and Benny is 11 months now. The love it! I haven't read any posts on here about it. So thought I'd ask. Most people on the chihuahua board feed this way also. Just curious about the yorkie board |

| All my babies eat raw! Athena, my beardie gets live though so maybe she doesn't count But both my cat (Ody) and Zeus eat raw and they love it. Zeus is a bottomless pit though and will eat anything. Ody, on the other hand, LOVES quail! My friends just came back from a hunting trip and they're both going to try deer for the first time coming up in the next couple of days.

| How cool is that! Here is a cute video of my chihuahua Benny when he was 12 weeks old eating a whole Cornish hen! Of course he didn't eat the whole thing, LOL. I weigh it, let him eat on it for a few minutes, and weigh it again. Benny only gets 4 oz a day. Benny with Cornish Hen - YouTube |

| OMG that is hilarious! It's bigger than Benny!! Zeus gets 5 oz a day. If I gave him that hen he'd eat it under 5 minutes. Of course I'm not serious but he devours, LOL. And Benny is just adorable!

| I think Benny weighed 2.3 lbs at that time and the hen actually did weigh more than he did . I so enjoy watching my guys devour their food with gusto. Every single meal they love it! |

| My dog really likes raw food and we just can't stop her from finishing her food on her plate. Actually, she is over weight and we started to control her from this type of food. |

| Mine would all eat until they burst, I think. LOL. I trade up, I'll give them a bite of something and take away what their eating to weigh it. I know about how many minutes it takes for them to eat around 2 oz. which they get at each meal. |

| Yesterday was Ody's 3rd birthday and in celebration we gave them the deer/antelope that my friends brought back from their trip. LOVED it. Ody likes variety so he was a happy birthday boy

| BARF diet here. Either homemade or Stell and Chewy's, sometimes some Natures Instinct. Supplimenting with a lil kibble, just switched from TOTW to Fromm. I have a Yorkie, Schnorkie, and Mini Schnauzer.

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | My 3 eat raw - either Primal or NV. They also get non-consumable RMBs for teeth.

| My Gracie eats raw. When she was a puppy she refused to eat kibble. I had to find a way to get her to eat so I started cooking for her. I did a search for recipes for small dog food and found YT. I also did a good deal of reading about kibble from various sources. I am convinced that kibble is much like trying to raise healthy children by feeding them breakfast cereal every meal. It has no real food value and is packed with synthetic vitamins that come mostly from China. Added value to raw: clean, tarter free teeth. |
