| 6 weeks? That is pretty young. I have no experience in young puppies.. Hopefully someone else comes on and gives you some advise.

| ♥Love My 3 Furrbutts♥ Donating Member | 6wks is very young to be away from her mommy and siblings. Hopefully someone with experience with small/young puppies will jump in and give you some help. Is there anyway you can take her back to the breeder, she really does need more time with her mommy. does anyone know, are they usually weaned that young?? Please watch for hypoglycemia, as puppies can and do go downhill very fast...I believe she should be fed every two hours...if I am wrong with this please someone correct me and give the correct info...thanks.

| Where is your puppy's mom? She should be with her until she's 12 weeks old Your puppy is an infant... I would suggest maybe adding some warm water to your pup's wet food to keep her hydrated.

| My babies are still nursing from momma and getting used to splashing around in saucers of puppy gruel at that young age! I would suggest putting warm water in with the canned puppy food, enough to make a more liquid consistancy....like a thick creamed soup...try warm goats milk in a saucer....they are still learning/mastering lapping stuff up....they are more licking it up so put your goats milk in a saucer so your pup can lick it up.....same with that canned food you have added water to make it more like a thick soup. |
