Senior Yorkie Talker | Worried about weight Sadie Jase is 20 weeks old and weighs 2.2 pounds. She weighed 2 pounds when I got her 7 weeks ago. I feed her Puppy Eukenuba food. I am worried that she is not gaining weight. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

YT 500 Club Member | If she was mine I would switch her food. When I got Dolly she was 13 weeks and weighted 1#6oz she is now 19 months and weighs 5# your little one is probably just going to be tiny. I had Dolly on BB and she did great |

| It could be she is just tiny but I would have her tested for liver shunt to be on the safe side

Senior Yorkie Talker | Thanks. At her last check up, the vet wasnt concerned about her weight. I wish I had kept better records of my other two so that I could have something to compare it to.

Senior Yorkie Talker | I looked back and Gizmo, my oldest one was 2 pounds at 6 months and 3 pounds at one year. She ended up being 4.5 at age 10. I guess I am just being a little overprotective

| Are you saying she gained only 2 ounces from 13 weeks to 20 weeks? If it were me, I would have her checked out at the vet, some basic bloodwork, even when all is well, is good to have as a baseline to compare to if things change down the road.

Senior Yorkie Talker | They did bloodwork at her 15 week visit. Enerything was fine. She is so active that I think she is burning off all of her calories.
