| my yorkie wont eat his dog food! ): ok when i first got my pup the owners was feeding him human food (lordi! ) sooo now he sooo picky and never wants to eat his dog food, he only touches it when i mix it with some human food like rice, beef, turkey etc or soak it a lil in chicken broth but that's hardly ever! i feel like he starves himself then when he realizes i wont give him human food he has no choice to eat his food, i know that's what the vet said but FORGET THE VET! it makes me feel horrible like im forcing a child to eat veggies. he trys to tip over his bowl like he is saying "I DON'T WANT THIS CRAP!" i just don't know what else to do, i want to start him on a raw diet but don't really know how to go about it for a dog this small and i don't want to keep mixing his food. i have him on Royal Canine and my boyfriend bought him pedigree and iams (TRUST ME IM NOT FEEDING HIM THAT CRAP JUST DIDNT WANT TO BE MEAN & TAKE IT BACK I KNOW HE WAS JUST TRYING TO HELP SO IM GOING TO GIVE IT AWAY) anyways his 9months old and about 5lbs PLEAAASEEE SOMEONE HELP! i need advice, good links all that stuff! this my FIRST yorkie not first dog but first yorkie i usually have pits soo this is all new to me since he is a smaller dog than im use to. |

| Have you thought about home cooking? There are some human foods, when made correctly and following a recipe, that can be good. My girls eat home cooked food. And they love it. They also eat dry dog food for snack. Have you tried other dog foods? Rosie is very picky and would turn her nose on so many. However, Blue Buffalo Basics is one both of my girls will eat. They also liked Taste of the Wild but I quit feeding it due to the recall. Some places have samples that you can get. You might get a few and see if there is one your pup prefers.
