| Eating alot more after spaying So my Lexi seems to have changed since she was spayed the beginning of July. She is now almost 11 months old. She was a very picky eater and would sometimes not eat every day. She weighs about 4 1/2 pounds. Since she has been spayed, she is eating alot more than she did before. Like twice as much. I feed her in the morning some weruva chicken on her kibble. About 1/4 cup. The same at night. She also has available a chewy kibble like food called 'Real Meat Pet Food.' I put that in a separate bowl in case she wants more than just the kibble. She hardly ever would eat more than the Weruva and dry kibble. The last few days, she has seemed to want to just gobble up everything as soon as I put it down and wanting more. She is still playing, pooping, drinking, etc all the same and normal. I am just surprised at the change. Anyone have any ideas? |

| Hormonal changes, weather becoming cooler, any or all of these could be affecting her appetite. Just watch her so she doesn't put on too much weight. It can be hard on their joints.

| Uni got a better appetite after her spay as well. she was not spayed until about 3 yrs old. She was SO picky before I worried for her health. Now feeding is so much easier. I agree with KJC, make sure she doesn't eat so much htat she starts to get too fat. Better they be a little on the skinny side than on the fat side.
