| My dog got sick from eating cheese?! I went to a family reunion over the weekend, and I saw my grandmother feeding my dog Gracie cheddar cheese. I made the comment "She like that" and focused on something else. My husband was not cool with the idea of giving Gracie cheese because it can upset the tummy and cause diarrhea. Today is day 3 since Gracie had cheese and now she's sick. But no with diarrhea, she has this congestion in her nose. She woke up with it this morning, and I noticed she gets the breathing attack when she's excited. This congestion causes slight running nose and little sneezes. It came and went all day. A neighbor told me that her dog got the same thing once after eating cheese. It then went away on its own after a day. I'm not sure if this is normal and I need help to decide if she has a possible cold that can be more severe coming on. Has anyone else encountered this before? |

| No cheese please They have at my vet's office a chart that shows the equivalent of a piece of cheese given to a dog and it was bad...is like a human eating 3 double cheeseburgers. When we have company and they want to feed her table food I just put her away or keep her by me, since the "don't feed her please" don't work. |

| Hi and Welcome to YT! I would imagine if the dog had allergies to dairy products this could happen... may be best to have your vet take a look at her. My dog will get pancreatitis from too much cheese...
