| Sasha has been eating Blue Buffalo Wilderness for years and has always done exceptional on this food. I recently started adding in a spoonful of canned food a few months ago because she started to become picky and I haven't had a problem since. I rotate between the 3 formulas that they offer....chicken, salmon and duck. For the canned food, I've only been buying the thinner cans but if the large cans happen to be on sale and are a better deal, I buy those and just freeze what I don't need right away so I don't end up wasting half the can. My puppy Noah is currently eating Blue Buffalo puppy. I had him on the small breed puppy formula but just recently transitioned him to the puppy lamb & oatmeal and he had no problems. I like to rotate protein sources after every bag because I'm a fan of feeding a variety. As long as he continues to do well with Blue Buffalo, I plan on sticking with it for him. I've always been a huge fan/supporter of Blue Buffalo as it has always worked best for my dogs. I will also admit that this food will not work/is not suited for every dog. Blue is a very rich food and often times can cause GI upset/digestion issues with certain dogs who have sensitivities. Then, there's some dogs who won't eat the "life source bits" in the food. Blue offers so many different varieties whether it be grain-free or basics for dogs with allergy issues. I always recommend this food but also recommend to transition very slowly if you've never fed it before. Edited: If my dogs didn't do well on Blue Buffalo, Fromm would be my next choice. I've heard nothing but great reviews about this food and it is next in line to feed if Blue suddenly stopped working out for my dogs. Last edited by xoxodoglover89; 08-04-2012 at 10:41 AM. |
