| throwing up every night Lately our guy has been throwing up nightly. He will throw up a few times and it's just yellow or orange colored liquid. Do you think we should change his food? Could there be some other reason? |

| Yellow bile is what is sounds like to me. How often do you feed him? When I am late feeding Rosie, she will throw up bile. Could he be hungry at that time? What food are you feeding?

| Toki used to do that in the early wee-hours of the morning. In our case, it was because she had an empty tummy for too long. So I pushed back her dinnertime to maybe 6:30/7:00PM and I give her a little snack before bed so she doesn't get ravenously hungry or have an empty tummy for too long. |

| Thank you, that's what I thought. We feed merrick food, but I think it doesn't have enough protein...he is tired all the time and he is not crazy about it. We are going to switch to Royal Canin. I also worry about his weight so I try not to feed him too much. Any ideas for good late night snacks? |

| Throwing up I'm very familiar with this issue. He's hungry...........not enough food in the tummy. You either have to coax him to eat a little more or find a food he likes. Good luck! |

| my Emy did that just last night, woke me up at 4:30 am, licking her blanket, I took it out of her crate and saw that it was the yellow bile stuff. She had finished all her daily ration of food early on in the day. So she did have an empty stomach. I got up and let her potty and gave her some food, even though she didn't dig into it till about 5:00 am....otherwise she is fine, she's done this a few times also. |

| Same here with Zoey. Empty tummy the reason. I feed her either green beans or peas around 6:30 pm. She loves them and no barfing on the bed.

| Good advice. A little evening snack should help. I usually give Maddie a little something of her schedule gets off for some reason or she will likely do this. |
