| Go to the baking section of your Grocery Market, buy a can of 100% pure pumpkin...unsweetened. Put a tablespoon or 2 in his food, or on a plate by itself...guarantee it will work. The good thing about pumpkin is it helps diahrea too. Amazing stuff!

| Hi and Welcome to YT! If he's looking bloated, I would go to the vet or an ER vet, JMHO. I don't mess around with very young puppies.

| Also, you will need to figure out why he is constipated...diet change maybe? Is he drinking enough water? Feeding him 3-4 times a day? Are you feeding him any canned food? Just some things to consider... PS: You can put the pumpkin in ice cube trays and freeze it, then store it in the freezer in a freezer bag... just take out what you need to thaw before feeding it.

| Our vet also recommends a 1:1 ratio of water to clear pedialyte for constipation also |

| Sweet potato works too.. I don't know if he is too young for sweet potato -- so ask the vet first. I also am sure someone who knows will post

| Try adding fiber to your dog's food. Fiber is not absorbed by the dog's digestive tract and continues on to the colon where it adds to the volume of stool. Feeding your dog a little bit of pumpkin with his food is a great way to prevent and cure constipation. Pumpkin is high in water content and a great source of fiber. You can either puree fresh pumpkin or use canned pureed pumpkin. |
