My boy Sammy (8 months) old has recently started scratching himself. I haven't changed his food. Our boxer has also been doing the same. They both are on flea and tick meds so we know that is not the issue. We live in S Florida on 1.5 acres. We were thinking that they were getting bit by something call noseeums (something like sand fleas) so we sprayed the entire yard. Because my partner was standing in the yard one day and he also got bit by something he could not see. I am also wondering if it is the grass. My neighbor says her dog has an allergy to grass. And the grass here is very itching. Not sure what to do. I plan to take them to the vet if this keeps up but am not sure that he will be able to diagnose the problem. Does anyone have any suggestions. My little guy scratches and makes scabs on his neck.

I would ask my vet first but what about Benadryl? Rosie has seasonal allergies and Benadryl seems to help her.
