| Baby teeth Hello! I saw mention in a few posts about having baby teeth removed but I didn't see when/if that has to happen. My friends with dogs have casually mentioned that they would fall out but most of them have big dogs. Brisket lost the little ones back in mid-March and has had the two bottom taller pointy ones coming in since mid-April (dates are thanks to 1000 cell phone pics). Now, the bottom pointy adult ones have just passed the baby ones in height. The last time I was at the vet, he got his last rounds of shots and we talked about him coming back at 8 months to have him fixed. He'll be 8 months 6/14, so will be scheduling appt, just want to be prepared if he says those teeth should come out. Thanks |

| Great! Was just nervous that I needed to take action ASAP. He doesn't seem to be in pain when he eats or anything. |

| I'm glad you mentioned the bad breath - I was thinking I needed to change treats. |

Bella Boo & Diggy Too! Donating GS Member | If It were me, I would demand ALL baby teeth come out at time of neuter that way you dont have to go thru it again. Leaving them in can only cause problems and its much healthier for him to get them out.

| I had a tooth pulled when my female was spayed. It shouldn't be a problem to do it while your pup is under for his neuter.

| The appt is scheduled for mid-July, didn't think they would be that far out scheduling appts. He still has that one tall baby tooth hanging on. I'm hoping it falls out before but, if not, I'll make sure to have them take it out.

| I was annoyed-I did not see this mentioned anywhere I looked when Jaeger was really young, and didn't realize it may be an issue until AFTER he was neutered. He never lost any baby teeth that I saw, unless he ate them by accident or lost them before he was 10 weeks old. However, when I questioned the vet yesterday, she said he was good to go and had lost them all. |

| I assume it's diff with puppies like it is with kids, but based on mine, he was born in Oct, and lost the little ones in the front in March/April, then the bigger pointy ones on the side May/June. I didn't see any of them come out except for one of the big pointy ones on the bottom.
