| Dog Food With the TOTW recall, I am looking for a different dry dog food for Mikki. Here are my choices locally: Solid Gold Halo Eagle Pack Avoderm Blue Buffalo Innova Organix Ultramix Eukanuba Royal Canin Nutro Natures Logic Bravo California Naturals Nutrisource PureVita Anyone have a recommendation? Throwing away a TOTW bag today. Need advice asap. I home cook for Mikki but she likes a dry kibble as an occasional "night snack". Any advice?

| Why not ask Dr. Remillard?

Donating YT 4000 Club Member | I asked my son and he highly recomends Blue buffalo and halo. he said that Nutro is no good. Now personally I had used solid gold and one of my puppy parents in NYC feeds her boy solid gold. I changed to Natures Variety because we like the rotation from kibble to raw to can all in one brand. Best of luck in your search. hugs, |

Donating YT 1000 Club Member | Don't throw it away. Take it back where you got it. They should give you credit for the bag. I feed Blue Buffalo; there's also a Basic BB that you might check out.

| You know I didn't think about getting hold of her. That may be the best idea ever. Thanks for bringing that to my attention!!!

| Solid Gold and Eagle Pack are also made at Diamond. Wouldn't touch 'em! Out of that list, for SURE Nutrisource and PureVita. They have a family owned company, have answered every question I gave them, no recalls, produced in their own manufacturing facility and some fantastic formulas - both grain free and grain inclusive. And friendly on the wallet! I'd probably be feeding it if it were available locally. Precise is also a good one that I've been looking into lately, though I can't find it around here either. Oh, I really like Bravo, too... but that's raw. Didn't know if you knew that.

| Dr. Remillard may say RC. She really likes it. that would by far be my choice from that list. Otherwise in a spot I'd consider Innova or CN.. My boy did well on Euk. I just am niot a huge fan.

| RC!! Some may think it is "crap" and "garbage", but it is actually an excellent dog food, well balanced, and THE QUALITY MANAGEMENT PROTOCOLS ARE EXCELLENT AT THE PROCESSING PLANT. I walked through this minefield back in 2005 and 2007....thank God all my owners had continued to stay on Royal Canin. I know there are people on here that are just as passionate about what they feed.....I am just sitting and watching with baited breath to see which and how many more of these dog foods are recalled! |

They sell these at the pet food store a couple of blocks from me. A guy down the street went in there with his Yorkie Puppy and asked what he should feed her and the pet food store recommended the Nutrisource. | |

| Zhoie just eat the FROMM Salmon Tunaline that DH ran over to MD to get for her switch over. She actually did twirls for bites of it He also go a bag of the Pork & Applausauce so we can start a rotation too. Thanks so much RileyDC for suggesting this food The kibble is little small round (almost ball like) bites and 2 crunches and it gone ! It's just so sad to me, to think she never crunched a whole piece of kibble, (we always had to cut them into for her)....BUT...after her surgery, she can now crunch her kibble with the best of them

We feed RC per the recommendation of Dr. Remillard. Love the results and feel confident knowing I am feeding something from a company that wasn't afraid to allow Dr. Remillard to tour the facility and ask very hard questions. If not RC, I'd feed science diet. My first choice has and always will be home cooked, but it has it's drawbacks and inconveniences.
