| So glad hes feeling better, I'm sure you are too! Miss Mini had a horrible reaction 2 weeks ago as well, her whole head swelled...it went from bad to worse in minutes, I still have no idea what in the world it was....I digress, I hope Riley continues to improve and has no more nasty episodes like that

| Awww.... Thanks everybody!! He is getting better and better. I started him back on his bag of Primal Chicken Formula, this a.m., which is what he was on before I switched him to the Lamb.... and so far... so good. He Loves it so much, he screetches high pitched and does circles in the kitchen when I am getting it ready, for him. I'll continue to give him Benadryl for the next couple of days until it completely clears up. |

| Well, it seemed Riley had a bad reaction to the FROMM kibble....I had switched him to. I was feeding Chicken A La Veg... and Pork & Applesause.... He is used to No Grain and lower carb diet and it seems those have several different grains, and more carb heavy than he is used to, in both bags. I completely switched him back to Acana [should have never ever switched him to begin with.....] and he is thriving once again. Although I would have Loved to try the grain free FROMM formulas, I don't think I will not be switching for a long time. I am still going to be nervous about Lamb.... and think for now I will stick with the Acana/Pacifica and Prairie formulas for now. I swung him by his vet last a week ago Friday because his ears weren't getting any better and seemed to be getting even more irritated and red. I did some research on my own and it was saying that a food allergy could cause recurrent ear infections. I decided to take him off of the FROMM kibble as well as the Primal Raw and went and got him a bag of Acana/Pacifica. Knowing he had had that before and always thrived on Acana. The vet agreed and said his ears were really clean but that he thought they needed drops for the inflammation. He gave me drops to give him 2 times a day for 10 days. They are clearning up, now. I will stay away from Primal Lamb, anyway and I will be nervous to give him anything with lamb in it.... and the FROMM kibble it out as well. Last edited by RileyDC; 05-19-2012 at 05:15 AM. |
