| ![]() I am about one week into the process of switching Macy’s food to Fromm (4 Star) and she is itching like crazy. I am using the Salmon recipe. She is just about 100% switched over to all Fromm but I notice her chewing on her paw and rubbing her face on the floor. Nothing else has changed in her life. Questions: Should I keep her on this for a couple more weeks and see if she stops itching or should I go ahead and try to switch her to something else now? She isn’t a picky eater and will eat any kind of food I put in front of her. Should I try a different Fromm 4 Star recipe? She has reactions to chicken and didn’t notice the Salmon has some chicken ingredients in it. She was on TOTW Lamb and doing really good but I don’t want to keep her on this food because of all the problems Diamond keeps having. Any suggestions on what I should do?

If she showed a reaction to chicken before, my guess it's the chicken again and I would find something without any chicken. I did just read the ingrediants and it said it contained "Chicken Cartilage."

| ![]() I didn't go far enough down the ingredient list when I chose the Salmon recipe and I missed the chicken ingredient. Who would have thought a salmon recipe would have chicken in it!!! I just don't want to keep switching foods on her and possibly make her sick.

| ![]() I was considering switching my 3 off TOTW because of the things I read but... my dogs are doing sooo well and I don't have anything that I can find that equals the TOTW pacific stream- the Earthborn Holistics Coastal Catch comes sort of close but the protein is so high and I have an old dog ..I will be interested to see what you choose to do. |

Of course, you’re not sure that chicken is the problem, maybe it's some other common ingredient, but it’s a good guess. You might want to save the ingredient list from the food she tolerates, just in case you have to trouble shoot at a later time and they change ingredients. By the way, places like Petsmart will take back the food if you keep receipts.

| ![]() I have overlooked the past problems at Diamond and kept Macy on TOTW. This time, I am going to get her off TOTW and stay away from Diamond. I looked at my bag of TOTW lamb and it was from the Carolina plant. I may try NOW for small breeds (no chicken). Like I said she isn't picky and will eat just about anything. I just hate switching foods.

| ![]() Do any of the other Fromm flavors not have chicken in the ingredients? You can switch to different Fromm flavors immediately as they all share the same formula. My boys eat all 5 flavors, interchangeably.

| ![]() Yes I just looked also. Chicken carcass is one of the ingredients in the white fish. Interesting.

| ![]() Are there potatoes in this recipe? I just found out that Megan is sensitive to potatoes so I removed it from her food (I home cook) and she is doing better than she has in the last 3 years. |

| ![]() I really really love Fromm, but unfortunately, I noticed the SAME thing with Jackson. He got the itchies while on the food. It took a bit to set in, though - it wasn't a right away thing... it was by his 2nd bag. It sucks because I really love the food and the company. I think some of the formulas are just a bit too busy, and I'm pretty certain all of them have some sort of chicken ingredient.

| ![]() Grains can be a long-term source of energy and energy storage for dogs, but they can also be used as a cheap filler in order to boost the food's protein percentage. |
