| Joint supplements - any suggestions I recently tried putting my two yorkies on Dasuquin for joint care. My little girl legs click sometimes, so started her on this as a preventative measure. Put Max on it too - vet said it would not hurt and would be good in the long run. I asked about side effects and was told none. Vet has her dogs on it and they have had no issues. (Vet is great and did not push this on me - just suggested I think about it.) I did some internet research and no real side effects, other than the one rare side effect with was mild stomach irritation due to the Avocado. So went ahead with it. Well, my pups (I say pups, but they are 1) both ended up with loose stools and diarrhea. Sad to say it took me about a week to realize it was the supplements. Their stools were normal (or at least close to normal) in the evening and liquid in the morning. Well, I was giving them the supplement in the evening. So, figure it was absorbed and causing issues by the AM and out of their system by the PM. Took them off the supplement and they seem to be going back to normal Are there other supplements that you have found that may work better with these guys? Max is 6.5 and Abby is 4.5 pounds Thanks |

| I have Betty Boop on Cosequin that I buy from EntirelyPets.com. She has LP in both knees. She loves the taste. It is a Glucosamine/Chondroitin supplement, much like what is in human supplements. You can google it and read about it. There hasn't been any side effects that I have noticed.

| They are called Cosequin DS Chewable Tablets. I break them in half on the scored line. Betty Boop thinks they are a treat! I was looking back on my emails and I ordered the last time from AmericaRX.com. You might want to compare the two places.

| Thank you. I wonder if Cooper will accept the chewables. I could always put a dab of peanut butter if need be

| They sure smell good, sort of like maple. Oh, peanut butter would do it every time! I'm not sure of the other forms it comes in. I just took the chance and it paid off. I don't know how much good they are doing her, but it sure can't hurt anything.

| I don't think you will be disappointed. To me they smell like maple, but the ingredient list says "cheese". What dog doesn't like cheese!
