Donating YT Addict | Rubs face on everything after eating Hi my 5 month old Yorkie poo is acting how id expect her to act if she was having trouble with her dog food. She is on science diet small breeds adult food. The vet thought the problem was the 4 extra k9's that caused her to eat then rub face on cubbards, walls, floor, her bed, blanket ect. So when we had her spayed we had the puppy k9's pulled. Its been 2 weeks since spay and she still rubs face on overything after eating for about 5-6 minutes. She is on sparkletts crystal fresh, purified water which did stop her eyes from running. But now im working on what I think may be an allergy to her food. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated

YT Addict | Hmmmmmm.........my Rylee Belle does the same thing. She runs her face along the carpet, the couch or anything else she can get to. She also scratches her beard area so much she makes herself cry out in pain! I will keep checking this post to see what others say. Good luck to both of us!!!!

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | I have no idea, could she be cleaning her mustache? Joey gets little cumbs of food in his mustache, but they don't bother him.

Donating YT 4000 Club Member | Harry does the same thing, I have to make sure I clean his face with a wet one after he eats or my bed spread will smell of Harry's dinner... |

| Gizmo does this all the time. I always look at him and go, "That's right, you wipe your face off on Momma's nice, clean, rug." And he'll just look at me with no shame, and continue.

| Tibbe will often rub his muzzle along the sharp edge of things - but usually only after a long nap. He will find a point in the room where a corner edge sticks out such as the kitchen island and rub his muzzle several time across the edge and sometimes scratch his mustache with his hind food. He doesn't do it for very long and hardly ever on the day of or day after a bath. I've often checked his mustache to see if anything goopy is in it and usually there isn't. I just wonder if once his hair loses its fresh-washed silkiness and kind of sticks together more within his mustache, his muzzle feels itchy there or he just doesn't like the way it feels.

| Try giving her a little face wash with a wet cloth after she eats and see if that helps. It seems like she is trying to clean her face. Or you could try some of the pet wipes they sell in the stores. If she seems to have an itching problem you might try switching to a grain free diet. |

I keep a 'Harry wash-cloth' in the kitchen for the same reason! Otherwise not only the bed, but the sofa...the stairs...my foot...would all smell dinner-y!!! | |

Donating YT 4000 Club Member | LOL, do you think we have a Harry syndrome? My Harry favor the bed spread, is like a ritual.. after he eats, I have to make sure my bedroom door is closed until I clean his face, once I open the door, he rushes to the steps and starts rubbing his just clean face in ALL OVER the bed spread.. my husband loves to watch the after dinner Harry rub... |
