| Calcium oxate dihydrate crystals Anyone with experience with these kind of urine crystals...4-10 crystals were found and noted on Rico's lab results. The vet didn't seem concerned about the low amount. He did take an xray and found no stones, so did nothing else. After researching about these crystals, it seems to me something should be done to get rid of them. Should I insist on treating, or get a second opinion? Thank you in advance. |

| I would get a second opinion. Not something that can be totally ignored.

| I would get a second opinion. I would want to get to the bottom of it. Good luck.

| Thanks for the replies. I brought another sample urine in today, and a different vet in the same office had the urine tested in their lab instead of sending it out. This time no crystals were found. The vet said it was possible that the crystals were due to the urine being tested hours after it was collected? |
