| Question about feeding Oscar Meyer packaged chicken I like to give my Lily a little chicken mixed in with her dry Blue Buffalo kibble as she wont eat the dry without something added to it. Sometimes when I don't have freshly cooked chicken breast, I will substitute Prepackaged Oscar Meyer DeliFresh Rotisserie seasoned chicken breast. I noticed it has a lot of sodium. I don't give her very much, but I wonder if I should be giving her this. Does anyone have any thoughts? I am not much of a cook so it is convenient to have this in the fridge and not have to cook if I don't feel like it.

| I would avoid processed food for your yorkie. I would use fresh cooked chicken. You could make the chicken and freeze it in little zip lock baggies for a couple of weeks, and just break off pieces of chicken as you need, put in the fridge to defrost, and you'll always have a little on hand. Make sure your freezer is at zero degrees.

| I use fresh chicken. Usually skinless boneless breast that I cook. I too freeze like 107Barney suggested. I understand about the convenience so when I cook for my girls I usually make a few weeks worth and freeze it. Then when I need it I put it in the icebox and it is ready to use in no time. I think you have a definite concern with the amount of sodium in the Oscar Meyer chicken.

| If you have a Trader Joes in your area, they have PLAIN cooked chicken in packages in the meat section - I have seen it in chunks also. I do not think it has anything added to it. Not only does the processed meat have a lot of sodium, but it has cancer causing nitrates, and usually some other artificial flavors and colorings........ |

| You can also add cottege cheese, yogurt, or baked sweet potato! I have to give Peanut a pill everyday- he gets it mixed with a baked sweet potato- he just loves it!!

| You are welcome. Sounds like you have a good plan! I do buy the frozen raw chicken too. It is a little less expensive.
