				   | I bought a bag of CET chews last weeek and the boys are crazy for them. The chews have made a significant improvement in their teeth in a short time. I remember Ann's terrifying experience when Marcel choked on a piece of the chew, so I am being cautious, holding them while Max and Teddy chew. My question is: are the doggies supposed to be able to chew off pieces and ingest them?

				   | No they shouldn't be able to. I bought the smalls and my dogs chewed off ends also. I remember Mary saying to use the mediums. Sure enough they can't bite off pieces on the medium.

				   | I'd like to know that also. I bought Heidi some quite a while back. She loved it, but then I got concerned. So I still have a whole bag of them!

We bought the mediums and Teddy managed to get a little corner off, and he came close to getting more tonight. I kept turning the chew to give him a new corner.

				   | Ok, I am ignorant here. Lol. So they chew on them but do not eat them? And you need to order medium? Right?

				   | We don't use the CET chews but use the petrodex dental chews and i believe they are almost the same. They can be digested but I also had a scare with nappy a long time ago with one, and since then we only use the large breed ones, so they can chew on them for quite some time (and not fit the whole thing in their mouth) before they get soft enough to tear off. Thats when i take them away and cut off the soft end, freeze it and give again next time.

				   | I'm super confused -- why would they not be chewed? That's what they are, right? It's not a Nylabone which is not supposed to be ingested. It's a form of rawhide. Jackson has them on occasion and he will chew it down until it's very small and I take it away. He gets the large size.
