i called the vet they said if it continues bring her in tomorrow, it still is happening the poo's not as dark now though, i did some investigating, which is kind of gross, but the peas shes pooping out are full size, her body didn't break them down...there was also some string in there, so she must have eatten some string?she just went through another popping crying fit and is now sleeping, i feel so bad, i wish i would have never given her homemade food, i thought it would be better for her not hurt her, nothing but her kibble from now on

Sorry to hear Meesha was having trouble, it should clear up soon. What else were you feeding her as part of the homemade diet? apart from the ground beef?

If she got a hold of string,is it possible that there is something lodged in her. Just a thought. Hope all of this just clears up soon.

Ziva loves beef but it does make her poo rather darker and dry, peas are the only veggie that she really can't handle, her tummy was like a rock. Little chicken pieces, green beans, romaine, soft boiled egg, tiny apple cubes and yogurt- all in mini amounts are our best/safest adds to their kibble.

I thought of something else that really irritates Ziva- those chewy rubbery dog treats- my neighbor gave her one before I could intervene, it was like pooping crayons! Ziva is not a big water drinker so I think she clogs up faster than Abby.
