| Update again, no, she's not fine. She just pooped out quite a bit of yellow mucus and a small amount of skinny poo. We JUST had her into the vet a few days ago because she had blood spot mixed with mucus on her poo. He did a fecal test and it was all clear. He said she was constipated and to give her 1/8th teaspoon of pumpkin with her food so we have been..and now this. Waiting for husband to pick us up to go to the vet. Her tongue is still cold too. She had stolen Brussel's ice cream (canine ice cream) and I thought that was why her tongue was cold. That's not it. So... cold tongue pooping yellow mucus I'm taking whatever the heck it is that she just pooped out, in with us. We're not coming home until I get some answers. I do trust my vet (I've said that time and time again) but I'm getting pretty well fed up and teed off that they keep treating me like an overprotective puppy owner. SOMETHING is wrong with Bella's tummy. |

| When Callie's tongue is cold she is cold and warms up after I put a sweater on her. If that's the dog ice cream they sell at grocery stores I would throw it out asap. Its crap and the dog I grew up with who had an iron stomach we gave her some and she would throw up a lot. I hope nothing really bad is wrong with Bella.

This was a different vet today (same animal hospital). He said she's very healthy, and solid as a rock despite her size. He picked her up and said "she's solid! good grief you could play football with her." (jokingly) She's home now along with a can of i/d gastrointestinal health food and a bottle of Albon. Giardia Snap negative Coccidia negative Parasites - all negative Palpations - no reaction They gave her Albon for a possible intestinal infection (honestly I think they just gave it to us to settle MY unease about her intestinal health, more than anything else). My question: HOW SAFE is this "Albon" stuff for a 2 lb 16 week old puppy? I know I am probably overly concerned, yes...maybe...but the opposite of that is indifferent. I'd rather be overprotective than indifferent any day. Their ice cream isn't store bought, no. It's just: plain yogurt peanut butter banana Mash it together and freeze in a sealed container. I break it up into tiny pieces after frozen. They get some (in very tiny quantity) twice a week. She ate hers and went after Brussels' (wasn't why her tongue was cold though). =/ | |
