food issues :/ Ok so our little guy Rudi has decided suddenly that he does not like the food we have been feeding him (natural balance small bites formula). Today I opened a new bag of the exact same food we have been feeding him (which he has been loving) and he sniffs, picks it up, and then spits it out??? Now Rudi is not a "enthused" eater by any means. He is very picky but still always eventually eats. Anyone got any ideas? Had this happen? Is this at all typical of yorkies? Any tips at all??? He seems to feel fine and he is more than happy to take a treat and is drinking and pottying just like normal so health wise I don't believe anything is wrong. Lord knows he has been hyper enough all day lol. Anyway if anyone can shed some light or give some ideas I would be really grateful. He's not filled up on anything else or anything... only had one treat today. ugh... silly furrbutt!!!

Maybe you got an icky-tasting batch? I don't know if that is even applicable with dog food, but I know it is with human food. I have a favorite cookie, Pecan Sandies. I don't get them often, but often to know what they're supposed to taste like. We got a bag once that was just...I don't know...missing something. It was yuck. The next time, they were fine. ...possibility? You might take it back and ask for a straight across exchange, especially if nothing else seems to be amiss with him.

well Rudi got his way after a full 24 hours of him not eating I went out and got some fresh pet which he gobbled up like it was going out of style.... silly dog. Carmen our other dog is eating the other food and ive about decided he is just being a picky little thing. He's finicky anyway. Being so close to christmas i just couldnt travel the hour to go exchange their food so freshpet it is I suppose. Spoiled little thing haha.
