| We got another shampoo from the vet, Malaket. We used it once and we are using it again today. $32.00 I'm not going to make her eat them. |

| Just a note, fish oils will only help if your baby doesn't have an allergy to fish. I've been trying to get rid of skin issues for 4 months (in addition to IBD), I've eliminated all treats, in order to determine all triggers, but it could also be environmental. I'm using a new shampoo called Duoxo, it's got raspberry stuff and other calming things in it, the vet prescribed it to me, there is also a topical spray you can use. It's expensive, but seems to be helping a bit.

| Well, I've kept Teena indoors for about 5 days now & that may be helping, but of course that's not a permanent solution. I've also cut out all treats other than broccoli & carrots. We went to see the vet and he said allergies like this are so common & if Children's Benadryl works for her I shouldn't worry about giving it to her whenever she needs it: up to 3x a day, 1 mg. per lb. It's a relief to know I don't have skimp with the Benadryl, but she actually hasn't needed it for a few days. I'm trying a new shampoo, conditioner that can be sprayed on dry hair & skin for itch relief, & a fish oil suplement that's squirted on her food. Thanks everyone for your help! |
