Wanted to let everyone know...we visited Zhoie and it was sooo wonderful to hold her little tiny body in my arms, bless her little heart.
Dr. Crook came in and talked with us first to let us know she is has surprised them all with how extremely well she has done. She said, heaven knows it's what they always hope for, but a set back is not uncommon in the first 48 hrs. If she continues at this pace, we may get to go home tomorrow! Dr. Crook said she is a real sweetheart and has stolen all their hearts. That's my girl!

We were forewarned she was still pretty groggy, but she had been out to potty and then just wanted to snuggle with Dr. Crook. Zhoie perked up when she saw us...came to my arms and then really tried to tell me what had happened to her. It was so sad, her little voice was awful, and much to my shame, I broke out in a sweat and sobbed. To have to let her out of my arms and walk away again...broke my heart. The little look on her face, destroyed me.
We get to visit between 9:00 & 11:00 this morning, I can hardly wait for the time to get there. I pray this is the last time we have to leave her.

I'm so glad she's doing well...I know it was hard to let her go after holding her. I pray that you can take her home with you tomorrow and for a speedy recovery for sweet Zhoie!

Tena just reading your posts makes me cry. You and your DH have been so strong for Zhoie. It is wonderful news that she is doing well and might be coming home soon. Praying that she continues to improve and is able to be back with you very soon.

It's just so great that she is doing so well. I can understand how you reacted, because I would have been crying, too. All of those emotions just have to come out sometime! I hope you have a nice visit later. It would be really hard to leave her there. You just want to take her home.

I am so happy to hear that Zhoie is doing so well. I know how hard it was to have to leave her again for the night.
I hope you able to bring her back soon where she belongs.

Tena, I would have reacted the same as you. Hold on to the thought she may be coming home tomorrow...I am praying she continues to heal well and will be cleared to go home with you and Pat. Hugs to all of you!

Tena I am so glad Zhoie has surprised the doctors with her miraculous success!! It has to be so heartbreaking to go see her and not get to take her with you. As a mom I think we can all relate to your emotions. Prayers going up that you all get to go home tomorrow, because not only is that what you want, but that means Miss Zhoie is healing like she should be.

Sobbing and sweating after all you have been through is just a normal reaction....you love her dearly and it shows. I'm sure it was hard to leave her again, but hopefully she will be home soon.

Sending you lots of hugs and saying many prayers for Zhoie's continued recovery.
