![]() Little update: have been using the Goo - on Day 2 now and it's going well. I think they think it's a treat. Which is a good thing. There is no reason for me to tell them that's it's actually therapeutic ![]() I talked to one of the developers/founders at Goo today - it was so interesting! I learned about more of the history of Goo, and how it came to be studied at UW-Madison etcetera. He was really informative, and knows a ton about how the immune system works, allergies, how the gut is related to pretty much everything. I'm sure if anyone had questions, this person would be more than happy to go into more detail; he is really knowledgeable about his product, and really gets the the complex nature of dog allergies. Pretty cool stuff.

| ![]() Ann, I was wondering if you are still using the Healthy Goo? I took Daisy to the dermatologist today, we have to battle yeast and bacteria and start up on Atopica again. But, she also mentioned this product, and has been seeing some very good results in her practice. Just wondering if you were still using it and how it has worked?

I currently have Marcel off of Atopica (knock on wood), and I'm hoping he continues to do well (pollens horrible right now). He has a little breakthru paw chewing and itching, but we're hangin' in. It may not work for all dogs, but for those it does - what an awesome solution. So natural. I can't remember if I'd mentioned this before, but I "cut" the Goo a little w/ extra PB since yorkies are small, and bc I wanted to start cautiously. In other words, I took a portion of the Goo, put it a tupperware thingy, added PB - and stirred. This made it less grainy for me too, which is nice. Btw, I had questions about the Goo, and had emailed the owner - he was so responsive! Great person, extremely knowledgeable about allergies. I'm sure he would email w/ you if you wanted even more detailed info; he interacts a lot w/ the Vet (a Vet Derm) with whom he invented Goo - so the anecdotal stories he has are great to hear. It might be worth a try for your kiddo. ![]()

| ![]() I'm so glad this thread pop back up! Zhoie just had a flare up of digging her chest raw. 3 days of it and off to the ER vet in VA. They said allergy because pollen is so high here. She had been licking feet for a couple weeks before the all night scratching...errr. They put her on predisone, which is ok for this time. It cleared her up in like 2 days, but not something I want to use to often if we can avoid it. Thanks Ann! I going to order this and give it a try when she has a flare.

| ![]() I just spoke at length to Stephan @ the GOO place! ![]() I swear he is very knowlegeable regarding allergies, it was refreshing to hear someone who was as well versed as my intense research has led me to be regarding allergies! This guy was spot on, very informative even giving me more information to add to my mental library on the subject! As many of you know my Miss Mini is currently receiving Varl injections and it has been like a miracle for her, not a complete cure all but definitely close; however, I am always interested and open to trying even better things! After much conversation with Stephan it was determined that Miss Mini could start GOO in addition to continuing her VARL injections with the hopes that at some point in the future, her every 2 week injection, could become a 1ce a month injection and possibly eliminated altogether. I too will keep you informed. Thank you so much for bringing this product to our attention!!! I am so happy that there are alternatives to meds and steroids out there and urge anyone to seek out things like VARL and GOO to help your pups. I know for my Miss Mini Varl has been great, I hope Goo will be too!

I often thought Miss Mini was allergic to certain foods, the problem with the foods is that often it is easy to blame the food because the allergy seems to come on at same time. Digestion matters are a whole different thing, but the Goo Guy and my derm said food allergies are rear/food sensitivities are different, and only about 4% of our pups are actually allergic to foods. I'm trying it...

| ![]() Ann thanks for posting this! It sounds amazing. So far we dont have much itching but I am watching for them. I think Daisy has grass allergies. I love that you have been talkingwith the goo developer and have gotten a lot of information. It looks like a lot of pups might get some relief with the goo.
