| Condyle Fracture Surgery? My 4 month old Yorkie puppy, Presley, had to have surgery today for a lateral condyle fracture... They put teeny, tiny pins in his teeny, tiny elbow to hold the joint together. Has anyone else experience this type of surgery with their babies? I was in turmoil whether or not to send my very small baby into surgery, despite the capabilities of the orthopedic surgeon and his staff. Now, instead of a 2-4 night stay the doc had originally told me about... he's said he wants to keep Presley for at least a week, maybe two!! Plus he discourages visiting, as Presley has to be heavily sedated and visiting mommies and daddies often excite the patients. So I bawled my eyes out last night... missing his furry little face trying to steal a bite of my dinner, his little nails clacking on the tile as he follows behind me, his snuggly little body curled up on my shoulder when we went to bed, and definitely his morning kisses!!! I've never had a yorkie before and I had no idea they could steal your heart this fast. We've had him since he was 6 wks old, and he's been a very healthy puppy (no hyperglycemia or anything else). The doctor said the surgery went perfectly... BUT I'M JUST ABSOLUTELY SICK ABOUT IT!!!!!!!! Thanks for letting me rave a bit! Presley's Very Worried Mommy |

| I hope everythings goes well and ur baby is healthy and with you soon. I can understand why the vet maybe doesn;t want any visitation to get him excited...and yes, theses babies are really something, withing hours they already own our hearts!! |
