| I'm sorry your boy and you are going through this. Glad to hear that you will be going to a specialist. How old is he and what kind of symptoms has been having? I don't have experience with glaucoma, but I my boy has had other eye problems.

| Glaucoma Hello: So sorry to hear that your little Yorkie may have glaucoma. You asked if anyone has any experience and I have a little. My little man whom I adopted over a year ago developed early onset cataract for which he has just had the operation. Part of the diagnosis included glaucoma as an unfortunate possible 'add on'. However hopefully your dog at worst has glaucoma alone and that can be treated and controlled both with eye drops and/or oral drugs. So hopefully the eye doc will be able to make your little baby better soon. Good Luck and hope all is well soon. Please let us know how things go. Try not to worry, glaucoma although not a pleasant thing to hear about your baby, is usually treatble. |

Yorkie Talker | I just found out this week my baby Baxter has Glaucoma. He's got a mild case, he's got little to no vision. It happend so suddenly that I still don't know how to cope with it myself. I don't see how he's doing so well. But, my vet told me that glaucoma runs in terriers and comes with age. He also told me that excessive tear stains could be a sign of pain. Look out of clouding in the eyes, and if the eyes start looking blue or if it looks like there is blue marble in their eyes like my babies: Sorry to hear that but I hope other than his eye sight that your baby is healthy!
