I usually just feed him one type of food but the owner of the supply store I go to said she rotates between 3 or 4 foods for her dogs every 3 months because she said she wouldn't want to eat the same food day after day. ![]() Maybe I will find a couple of different foods that work and rotate for him.

| Senior Yorkie Talker | I'm planning to try Earthborn Holistic Coastal Catch for my Yorkie Amara. I think it will be better than the Royal Canin she's on. I haven't really heard anything bad about the food yet. But it seems great. I emailed them last night. And they responded today. Very quick service. It was stated that I was to receive a sample. So I'm pretty excited. |

| I have never heard of Earthborn. Seems everyone is on the band wagon now to make a holistic food. Kind of scary to me after all of the scares in recent years. This post has nothing to do with them as I know nothing about them....it is about my feelings about these companies in general and the importance of knowing who they are before feeding their products to my pups. I was feeding a food to my pups that had great ingredients....something just made me start worrying about them and I decided to write to them. On their website they claimed to have a team of experts in nutrition so I asked them who these experts were along with some other questions about their products. They ignored my email totally. I then spoke with my vet and she encouraged me to contact the vet nutritionist at Texas A&M .. he gave me some great information about how to check out companies rather than ingredients. Not that ingredients are not important.....but the companies are the main place to start. You can have great ingredients for any meal, but if a slob is preparing them the end result is not going to be good.

If my dogs had sensitive tums, I probably wouldn't. | |
