| Ear Problems Couple months ago I ended up taking Bennett to the vet for ear mites...He was treated there and we havent had any problems. I could tell he had something major wrong when he couldnt do anything with out stopping to scratch his ears....While he would be scratching them he would let out a high pitch screech. After he got medicine at the vet that went away and now he is scratching his ears again all the time. The only difference is he doesn't let out a screech. I was told by the vet when i first got him that when he gets groomed his ear hair would be plucked well the last time he went they werent so he does have extra hair in his ears. I have always been worried about his ears so i'm constantly sticking my fingers in there to clean out the dirt. He wont let me use a qtip or cotton swab, but he slowly has gotten use to me picking at them with my fingers...well now he wont even let me do that, if i try he lets out a screech right away and tries to bite me. I dont know what to do. I'm frustrated that he has so many problems with his ears. |

| Just a thought, but I wonder if the ear mites could have come back. It might be worth another trip to the vet to have his ears checked again. I hope you find out what the problem is. I know little Bennett must be very uncomfortable. Have a wonderful day!

| Sorry to hear about Bennett - Jovi does the same thing - no infection, no ear mites - every so often she will scratch at her ear and let out a high pitched screech. She mostly does it early in the am and late evening - it is so frustrating cause I don't wanther to be in pain but i can't run her to the vet every other day either... we are trying coconut oil on them now - keeping my fingers crossed any other suggestions would be appreciated. |
