| My puppy doesn't like to eat I have chloe for over 4 months now, she will be 7 months in about a week or so. My question is, is it normal for yorkies to eat very little? She has free reign of her food, her breeder fed her royal canines, she just seems disinterested in food. I even hand feed her to make sure she eats and she does eat but very little. Treats are different however, she can eat all day long if i let her. I have tried, royal canines, science diet and Orijen. Orijen is the one she seems interested most but even that is just few pieces of kebble. Now i have bags of dog food. I don't drastically change her diet either. She seems healthy, thats why i am not super worried but it does tug in the back of my mind. I am just wondering if its normal. She weighs 4 - 4.5 lbs. She is my first dog and alot of the times i can be such a worrywart when it comes to her. I can't help it. |

| When they are that small it doesn't take alot of food. Thats what I did wrong. I was feeding mine like they were Great Danes. Now 2 are on special diets. I would watch the treats though. When they are that small, they can feel up on a treat and not eat at mealtime. I had to quit free feeding too. Good luck with your little one and don't worry too much. They just don't eat alot because I guess we forget how small their little tummies are. It doesn't take alot for one that small. What I do with Dudley (4lbs) is I let him eat what he wants a mealtime and save any he has left for, like, a bedtime snack. He will usually always eat the rest later. |

| Hahaha! I know it's not funny, but I am in the same boat as you! My yorkie-poo Moses has gone through science diet, Innova, Nutro Ultra, Fromm's Chicken ala Veg for a minute, and is now on Taste of the Wild. He turns his nose up at all of it. I had a Lab before Mo, and I think I might be feeding him too much. He ate this morning (1/4 c) and didn't eat tonight! He is about 5 lbs. These dogs are picky, that's for sure! I am setting his feeding time so he knows when time is up, he needs to wait for the next meal time. I don't think it helps that my hubby will sneak him people food now and then! Dang it!
