| hair loss My puppy has been losing her hair on her hind legs and some spots on her back you can see her skin through her hair after a while (this doesn't happen all the time, only until I give her a bath and a couple days or so after that) but the hair loss on the legs is all the time. | I could just be allegies they are bad right now. When Jewels lost hair on her back we took her to the vet and they did a skin scrape to check for mites. She didnt have them they put her on an antibiotic and the hair grew back. My other dog Chachi is on antibiotics and other meds right now for allergies.

I Love Thor Donating Member | Brittany- Does your dog seem to itch a lot? He/she might have allergies to the food you have her on or allerigies coming from other things such as air born-pollen allergies. I don't know the exact term for the inhalent allergies. My best guess would be that your dog is itching in specific spots so much that the hair has begun to break off due to the itching. The same thing has happened to Thor my dog. What kind of food are you using? Make sure there isn't any corn in it as that can cause itching. Also try a oatmeal shampoo, and don't over wash your little guy. I will try to post a list of recomended foods if I can find it. Good luck with your dog and her/his bald spots Hannah |
