| Puppy Chew Bones???? My 13 wk puppy loves to be outside in the grass. However, she eats EVERYTHING!! I need to get her some bones to chew on instead of sticks and grass. I am afraid she will get sick, or worse choke. Could you please recommend any good bones for her age....Thanks |

| I don't know if any kind of chew will keep a pup from exploring grass and sticks and anything else they can get their mouths on outside. It does get easier as they mature, but I still have to watch my boys closely when we walk or they will find something potentially dangerous to eat. There aren't any 100% safe chews. You will have to supervise your pup and gauge her chewing habits. My boys are power chewers and they are willing to try swallowing anything, so I can't really leave them alone with anything other than Himalayan chews. Everything else, I supervise closely. Choose fully digestible chews.

| Agree with Maximo. We use bully sticks and Himalayan chews here. I've never seen the Himalayan's at Petsmart, they are usually only in pet specialty stores, but they are pricey (worth it, though, because they last a while). I order from RDB911 here on YT and they are a GREAT price with free shipping! Jackson loves his bully sticks, which I buy in bulk from Bully Sticks - All Natural Dog Treats - Best Bully Stick... I find pet stores way over charge for them and some can be really smelly! But good luck. Jackson is 2 1/2 years old and still loves finding grass and anything else outside to eat or chew.

| Jackson is a big boy at 16lbs so I either buy the "thick 6" odor free bully sticks" or get the 12" ones. But if your baby is a bit smaller, I think the thin or regular 6" would be fine (I take them away when they get down to about 1-2" so they don't choke).

| I just ordered some bully sticks for my little girl. I was grossed out by the idea at first but then I thought that any part of the animal would be gross to me so I got it for her. When you think of what dogs have been eating in the cheaper foods being sold these days the bully stick is tame. |

| It just doesn't really bother me *shrugs* It's not like it LOOKS like a bull's penis... lol. It just looks like a dehydrated stick. Besides, we eat (well, most of us, unless of course you're a vegetarian) eat all kinds of animals so for some reason a bull's penis doesn't freak me out anymore And, Jackson LOVES them, they keep him occupied for long periods of time, and they are fully digestible. So they are a win in my book!

| Gracie's bully sticks came yesterday. She wasn't sure about it at first but it took three minutes and she was chewing away. I bought her something called Red Barn Naturals. Description: "lightly smoked natural beef muscles roasted in their own juices." Well, I don't know if that was for my enticement or the dog's but she loves the one I gave her. I had to take it away from her last night or she would have chewed it all night. |

The himalayan chews are awesome...I dont know what I would do without them. When ever the dogs are barking or driving me crazy I give them all a chew and that will hold them over for a good 45 min.
