| Swallowing a bully stick???? Question! Our little 15 week old, Mac just swallowed the end of a bully stick as I was trying to get it away from ..... I noticed he was chewing and saw what it was but before I could wrestle it out of his mouth he gulped it down, acted like he was semi choking, then immediately was fine.... I'm worried he won't be able to "pass" it.... He's acting completely fine right now. A trip to the vet or will it be ok???

| OMG I know that has to be scary. Could you tell how big the piece was? Im not familiar with the bully sticks so I dont know how quickly they might desolve. I would give him a little time to pass it,sense he isn't choking. Watch for it in the morning, either way I would call the vet in the morning as long as he seems ok during the night. |

| Glad he is doing well this morning. Hopefully, it will pass without a problem. I like to take the bully sticks away at about 2 inches to hopefully prevent this from happening.

| I try to get them away from Roxy when they get that small but she has swallowed them before I could get to her and she does just fine. No constipation, no discomfort from what I can tell. Roxy is a big girl though 9lbs I feel like shes got an iron stomach, she's eaten some strange things before and been a-ok.

| swallowing bully sticks....chews I found the greatest thing for bully sticks and chews.... I bought a "Kong" treat holder. It has 2 holes, one on each end-both different sizes. I take the bully sticks and push it in the Kong, then I give the whole thing to the girls. The Kong is about 3 inches long and it grips the bullys tight. The shape of the Kong makes it easy for their little paws to hold. They chew on the bully stick all the way down until they reach the hole on the Kong. I take it from them, pull out the short remaining piece of the bully stick and throw it away. There's no chance of them pulling out the small piece and choke on it. Works great for us....good luck

| Where do you get a kong treat holder? I just hate throwing away those ends because bully sticks are so expensive, but I sure don't want to take a chance on them swallowing them.
