| My only regret was that I was afraid to have it done and Maddie went into her first heat before I finally did it.

| No regrets. We have had every dog we ever owned fixed. The Males bounch back in a day, the females a little longer as it is more invasive. Marge has been trying to fix me for years, but I can still out run her! Not sure if she thinks I would be happier. |

| Nope do not regret it at all. I am sorry you had such a bad experience. My experience was nothing like this at all. Rosie bounced back to herself within 48 hours. Sounds like the problem lies with the vet.

| I probably shouldn't have read this thread. Teddie is going in tomorrow to get neutered and I am a little worried. I don't regret the decision though, have had all of my dogs fixed and no problems anywhere. Keeping fingers crossed for Teddie now...

| I regretted getting my golden neutered but not my 3 yorkies or 2 cats. The golden only b/c he was a great dog. Always wanted to breed him but never found the "perfect" match for him. Neutered him at 10. My animals has always done great after altering.

| It was a hard thing to do because Lucy was so little and I was scared because of her MVD. It did take about a week for her to get back to normal and - yes - I felt awful that week. But that was last year and I am so glad I don't have to worry about her going into heat or some neighbor dog trying to get at her while she is in heat; I don't ever have to worry about an 'oopsie' litter of puppies. She's little; she has health issues; she should never be bred. I have no regrets at all. Just glad it's over.

| Nope...never. I wouldn't even consider not doing it (unless for health issues). The benefits to my girl's overall long term health was most important to me. I've never had a dog or cat that wasn't spayed.

| I have no regrets whatsoever for neutering Connor and Neo! I kinda wish that Connor would have been at 6 months instead of 8, but its all good! Now DH- thats a different story. I think its a "man thing" when it comes to "male genitalia" and the removal thereof. He still tells Neo that he "wishes he would have gotten him laid" before the neuter, lol! |

| I have had dozens S/N..only reaction any have shown, is being very hungry for dinner when they came home because they had to be fasted over night. Most had their teeth cleaned at the same time and it amazes me they run around, jump and eat like nothing happened...never have figured it out...I have very tough Yorkies. |

| doesn't look like, sorry. have never ever regret of spaying my girl, although I did it when she was 4yo. I was afraid she might lose her natural habits. Not at all. I am very happy I did it. Her recovery from the surgery was awesome, next day she was jumping on the couch (scared me to death ). Last edited by omichka; 06-18-2011 at 02:40 PM. |

I was also annoyed that they didn't remove his baby teeth like I asked and I had to have him put under again yesterday to get the baby teeth removed. Luckily his tooth extraction only cost $80...I am so glad I live in TN after reading everyone else's posts about their vet prices. Everything is cheaper here generally. | |

| I never regret it. I got Callie spayed around 9 months old before her first heat and I feel like even though it was sad her being so tired and hurting a little that it would be a hole lot worse if I didnt have it done and she developed a cancer that spaying can prevent or lower the risk to. Also not spaying leaves you open for a lot of "accidents" that can put your babys life at risk.
