| Can't help on the age to switch because I have always fed an all life stages food, so never had to deal with the switch. However, I would recommend you research foods and switch to a better quality food for your little one.

| I fed (and feed) all my dogs (from puppy to adult) Nature's Variety Prairie dog food (chicken and brown rice formula). It is good for all life stages and the kibble is small and easy for them to eat. I have multiple dogs so feeding them all the same food worked out best for us. Nature's Variety is a very good food. If you only have the one puppy, you could switch to a better quality puppy food. My son likes Blue Buffalo puppy food for his Morkie. You can get that at PetSmart or Petco. You should keep them on puppy food (or at least all life stages food) until at least a year old. Good luck with your new puppy. |
