| Herbal supplements, which do you use? I just got this neat article in my inbox from Dogster.com about commonly used herbal supplements for dogs, cats and humans. I have been looking into the milk thistle supplement as a good way to help Tino with his current liver issues and was wondering if any members supplement their doggie's daily routine with any herbals and how they are working for you. Of course I plan on talking to the vet before I add anything to his diet, but just thought I might get some opinions here too

| Herbals I personally have not used herbals for Sprocket but use them for myself, for Sprocket the only extra I give him the vet recommended a vitamin and I use a vit B for the fleas, I know, fleas, the bane of our existence . We all would do just about anything to get rid of them. I must say though the vit B complex sure seems to make Sprockets hair nice, grows like crazy too. I would not give to Sprocket a supplement or such that I had not tried out myself, I know, crazy dog lady, but my gf who is into vits and supplements put me onto vit B, OMG, for the hair and nails and skin, so nice. So I figured, the dog, why not, I asked the vet, she said OK, got some from her. only thing I would say is check with your vet, some of these vits and supplements are VERY strong and could hurt more than help. Good luck!!

| Mine get milk thistle for their liver. They also get Dasaquin for joint health. I also give a scoop of greek yogurt each night for digestive health (has also helped with eye gunk) - not an herbal supplement, LOL- but I figured I would add it in.
