| Neutering an 8 year old. We are planning to take Remi for neutering tomorrow. He is peeing in a lot of places and can not be left alone in a room. we are moving to a new apartment soon and want to have a clean home. My little Rocky is picking up on his bad habits as well. Any experience what sort of changes are to come? Any stories? He is 8 year old and is a bit overly active...hyperactive at times one might say. |

| My male papillon was neutered this past year at age 6 1/2 for marking. (He was kept intact to show) He marked a lot, always and honestly neutering has helped tremendously. I have noticed a bit of a change in his coat texture and he has put on a bit of weight since being snipped. |

| I can't offer any stories or ideas of what to expect after Remi is neutered, as my boys were all younger than he is when they were done. But I wanted to offer my prayers and good thoughts for his surgery tomorrow. Bonny

| Some pups do not stop marking after being neutered; but it is still a good idea to do it. After the incision heals, if he continues, you might want to consider belly bands to protect your home and furnishings.

| Thank you for kind words. We are going today. We used diapers before, but it is the last resort, and it looks a bit silly. Will let you guys know how it goes. Dave , Remi and Rocky |

| Update Well, everything went well and he is back home. Had him neutered, teeth cleaned, ears cleaned and overall checkup. He is all woozy and sleepy, but tries to stay being the trooper that he is. In comparison to my baby yorkie girl I had spayed half a year ago, he is doing great. She was half dead, I was very worried. Thank You guys and gals. |
