| I have no local pet boutique. In fact, the nearest chain pet store is 30 miles from me.

| Okay... being serious now (ooooh!!) ... Buy an oven thermometer (in the grocery store) Put it in the oven before you turn it on... then check the temp on the dial set to the temp on the thermometer. Sounds like the oven may not be getting hot enough. Set the oven for 325 Degrees then check the thermometer. If there is a difference, adjust the dial setting to compensate. Say the temp reads 300 Degrees when the oven is supposed to be at 325. Turn the dial up 25 degrees over what you are supposed to be cooking at (350). Then check the thermometer again. Should read 325. Remember to make this adjustment every time you bake. Next step: Try baking something. ![]() Most important tips: Measure correctly. Use a round measuring cup for liquids and the oddball shaped ones for measuring dry goods (usually connected together in a group on a ring). Always measure stuff over the sink, not the bowl you are putting the measured ingredients into. ('till you get really good) (I made Deviled eggs about 10 times and always measured the vinegar over the bowl. Wangiest Deviled eggs ever! So I made them correctly twice, but now we like the wangy eggs better... bite into a lemon puckerface wangy!) Check the oven temp. Follow the directions.

this is where I got Chase's cake from. I am a procrastinator too, and ordered a week before I needed it. It arrived on time and in perfect condition Here are some pics of it when I got it.

???????????? To bake.... or NOT to bake. That is the question.... Whether tis nobler to get off one's duff and actually do something for the poor bros, or to sit at the almighty PC/Mac and click one's life away.... Lol... PS: You don't have to let them eat the whole thing!

| LOL, I can't bake either. I feel for you, Karen! Hahaha. My local pet boutique has TONS of homemade goodies for doggy birthdays. Too bad you don't have one near you. I've never gotten Jackson a cake before and I want to do it for his 3rd bday this year.... knowing him, he won't eat it though. He's not into peanut butter or crunchy-type things which most dog bakery stuff is.

| I can bake. Send your private jet to pick up me and the boys and promise to cook good food, since I can't do that and you can.

We have this as well. They have canine Reese's that my girls love. You can use Honest Kitchen to make a dog birthday cake. Ice cream is at the regular grocery store (not high quality stuff) or you can mix plain yogurt, peanut butter, and water then freeze and you have dog ice cream!

| I wish I'd seen this sooner. My girls love the Cocotherapy Coconut Banana cake, but I know you said you didn't want to bake - full disclosure, I can't really bake either, but my oinkers don't seem to notice. Anyways, those microwavable ones that are organic are great! It's just the packet of cake mix and you mix it with peanut butter and water, dump it in the bone shaped pan and microwave it. It's hard to mess up (though I did forget to "grease" the pan once). ![]() Here is a link: Lucky Paws | Home Page
