| What's That Smell??? We woke up this morning and Lulu had a very fishy smell coming from her "underparts".... dont know if it was coming from the number 1 area or the number 2. She is 7 months going on 8. What could this be? Do they smell when they are going into heat? Or do anal glands smell? Need help We just took her a bath hoping the smell would dissipate, but to no avail. |

| Anal glands do smell really bad, but not really "fishy", more a really extreme poop smell. It could be that she coming into her first heat, I've noticed that smell from my Akita's vaginal area when she was in heat before we got her spayed. Is her vulva swollen? It could also possibly be a urinary tract infection. I'd have your vet do an exam really soon just to be on the safe side.

| Jackson's anal glands have a fishy smell... NASTY! He "released" them when he was really scared once and omg, it smelled terrible. Sounds like an anal gland problem to me.
