| Taste of the Wild & super stinky poops?? Trixie is on Wellness Super 5 Mix and I sent for samples of TOTW since it has great reviews and less controversial ingredients....but PU ..... her poops since TOTW has been mixed with her Wellness is soooo smelly. Anyone else have this problem with TOTW - she is currently sampling the Fowl TOTW and is stinking up the house ..... she is peepad trained and won't poop outside

| TOTW by Diamond?? I have sent for samples of TOTW since I have heard great things about it here and it has a 5 star rating on dogadvisor.com but I have a question. I was searching for reviews on google and it directed me to a chihuahua discussion board and while they loved TOTW, they were really concerned that TOTW and Wellness have now been taken over by Diamond Co. which produces other pet food of questionable quality and has had many recalls over the years. Some of the chihuahua owners are even changing their dog food because of it. I figured I would ask here since everyone is so knowledgeable and helpful to see what you all think about the new manufacturer and if it would change your views about these two foods.

| I just got TOTW samples on Friday & although I couldn't find it on any of the literature, on the return address label it does say Diamond. Princess loves it, has been eating it without any extra coercion or persuasion. Of course that may change in a day or two, but if it doesn't, not sure what I'm going to do yet. I was impressed that they sent 48 oz. of samples. And no stinky poops, just smaller.

| I was impressed with the samples too. I just have to see if her poops keep smelling bad...if so, we will be sticking with wellness even though she eats it reluctantly...she ate is just fine when we were switching to it from RC....guess she is just finicky

| I have talked personally with the Taste of the Wild folks and their nutritionist and feel very comfortable about the quality controls in place at the processing plant. From my conversations with the TOTW folks, the food IS manufactured at a Diamond Plant (that was a huge red flag to me and that's why I called them). What I was told is that TOTW employees their own QC people who work at the Diamond plant overseeing the production of their food. If you have questions, I would recommend you calling TOTW and talk with them to get information first hand. |

| I am *extremely* happy with TOTW. We feed this to all our dogs, inside and working ones. My girls and Ernie potty outside but if there is an "accident", the smell what gives it away. They do have smaller poops with this food, but the smell is big. |

| Ringo ate TOTW for a long time with no problems. BUT, he did have very stinky poop with it. He eventually tired of it and we switched to BB Wilderness. Now he's not so stinky!

Donating YT 4000 Club Member | I agree, mine love the taste of it, but it does give them stinky poo. Rhett also got diarrhea from it, so it was back to BB.

| Oh my goodness...now it's not only stinky poops, but stinky gas. My dh actually had the nerve to blame me for it She is loving the TOTW food, so much so that she just throws here wellness kibble right out of her bowl to find the TOTW hidden within. So I guess happy dog equals stinky dog lol.

| I don't notice any more "stink" on TOTW, but the poops are "darker"--almost black!! Any ideas why that could be? My Coby has also had a few spells to where he throws up in the mornings (just occassionally) yellow foam, but he eats late at night, so, I don't think that he could be totally "starved". I've read lots of good things about Natural Balance on here...I may rotate a bag of it in after our TOTW is gone. It also has a good price---considering the ingredients! I'm all about getting the most bang for my buck! |
